The detail
What it's about
Family Bushcraft sessions at Beowulf are built around real skills. Your children will learn how to light a fire properly, how to build a shelter that would actually keep you dry, how to track the animals that share the woodland with us, and how to read the natural world in ways that were second nature to people a hundred years ago.
We weave folklore and tradition through everything we teach. There are stories in the trees, in the seasons, in the way a spider builds its web. Our sessions are educational in the best possible sense. Children absorb knowledge because they're fascinated, not because they're being taught.
Parents don't sit on the sidelines here. The sessions are designed so that you get drawn in naturally. You'll find yourself learning things you didn't know you wanted to know. That's exactly as it should be.
