What it's about
Our adult courses are for people who want to go deeper. This isn't a taster session or a day out — it's a serious four-hour course covering skills that are genuinely difficult to find taught properly anywhere.
Game preparation covers everything from field to table: deer, pheasant, squirrel, and more. You'll learn how to handle, prepare, skin, and cook game correctly — including returning the hide and fur, removing the fleshy parts, and tanning the skin for use. These are skills that generations of people took for granted and that most people today have never encountered.
We also cover flint and stone tool use, advanced fire craft, and natural navigation — not just map and compass, but reading the sun, stars, trees, and wind to find your way without any technology. These are the skills that underpinned human survival for thousands of years, and they're still extraordinary to know.
Adult courses run monthly, priced at £65 per person for a four-hour session. We're building the programme now — register your interest and we'll be in touch as soon as dates are confirmed. For every booking, £5 is donated to IJM.
