Adult Courses
Our adult courses cover a rotating range of practical skills — from wilderness navigation and outdoor cooking to bushcraft fundamentals and traditional crafts like basket weaving. Each course is different. See what's coming up in the calendar below.
The detail
What it's about
Our adult courses bring together a wide range of hands-on skills sessions. Past courses have taken participants into the Mendip Hills for a full day of wilderness navigation, into Greyfield Woods for outdoor cooking over an open fire, into the Roundhouse for basket weaving, and deeper into the fundamentals of bushcraft — shelter, fire, game preparation, water, and more.
Each course has its own focus, duration, and price. Some run for a morning, others for a full day. Some are creative and relaxed; others are physically demanding and technical. What they share is proper instruction, small groups, and skills worth having.
Courses are designed for adults who want to learn real, practical things in a well-taught environment. Instructors bring genuine expertise, not just enthusiasm, and the format gives you time to actually practise — not just watch.
Check the calendar below to see what's on, what each course covers, and how to book your place. For every booking, £5 is donated to IJM.
